If you feel you have not violated the law, just let the Right of Inquiry be proposed. #kbanews
IF calculated, the Right of Inquiry to be proposed by PDIP, PPP, Nasdem, PKB, and PKS should go smoothly. After all, the DPR (House) members from these five parties supporting candidates 01 and 03 account for 54.60%.
The process is simple: proposed by at least 25 DPR members from at least two factions. Of course, this is an easy matter. Then it is brought to the plenary session. In the plenary session, the support of 50% + 1 DPR member is needed. If this is achieved, a special committee is formed.
This committee will then investigate whether there were allegations of fraud and legal violations in last February’s election. Which parties were involved in the alleged fraud? And who committed legal violations? Many parties will be called and asked to give statements. Live, broadcast on TV, and the whole nation watches. Exciting, isn’t it?
If no one feels involved, they shouldn’t worry. If you feel you have not violated the law, just let the Right of Inquiry be proposed. If necessary, all factions should propose it. Both factions in the candidate groups 01 and 03, as well as candidate group 02. Just push so that the Right of Inquiry becomes a means of proof. After all, if there is no evidence, those who propose will be embarrassed on their own. Do not obstruct it, and do not hinder it either.
But, if there are attempts to hinder, it clearly indicates that someone feels guilty. This also ensures that there is a violation of the law. Simple for the people to judge.
There are three ways to sabotage the Right of Inquiry. First, through opinion. That the Right of Inquiry only creates noise and potentially divides the nation. It’s about trying to hinder. Cheap, strange, and funny opinions like this will emerge.
Did the creators of the Constitution, who included the Right of Inquiry as a constitutional right of the DPR, intend to divide the nation? It’s absurd to think like that.
There are several constitutional law experts who are tasked to continually assert that the Right of Inquiry cannot change the election results.
Megawati already said: the Right of Inquiry aims to uncover allegations of dishonesty, fraud, and violations against the law. This must be opened up, so it does not happen again. Those who violate must be punished. Thus, the Right of Inquiry aims to uphold justice. So, this is no longer about the candidates. This is about the future of the country that needs justice and needs to be saved.
Scary! The Right of Inquiry for some parties, this is frightening. Frightening for those who feel involved and become perpetrators of the alleged fraud.
Second, the way to obstruct the Right of Inquiry by sabotaging the proposing parties. PPP, for example. This is the party that’s currently the talk of the town. The public questions whether PPP still has independence. The public sees PPP in a state of “Laa yahya walaa yamuut” referring to its vote shares in the last two elections.
Will the PPP’s vote share this time reach 4% so they can enter Senayan? Or still need ‘a blessing’ to be able to enter Senayan. You understand what blessing means, right? This makes the public anxious. Not anxious about whether PPP enters Senayan or not. Anxious whether PPP can act independently and maintain its dignity in relation to this Right of Inquiry. PPP is the party most vulnerable to operation.
PDIP, Nasdem, PKB, and PKS will also be offered to join. There’s a share of ministerial positions plus election fund replacements, for example. Plus interest. Will these four parties be tempted? If tempted, the public needs to evaluate their support for these four parties in the coming election. Don’t forget easily!
Third, obstructing the Right of Inquiry by operation through DPR members. Even if PPP does not propose the Right of Inquiry, the four factions of PDIP, Nasdem, PKB, and PKS still have enough members, reaching 50% + 1. Enough to support the Right of Inquiry.
Even if enough, is there a guarantee that all DPR members from these four parties are solid. What if DPR members from these four parties are lobbied, called, and given Rp. 20 M? Or even Rp. 50 M? Wouldn’t they waver. Especially for DPR members who failed to enter the DPR again this election. Running out of funds for campaigning, then there’s an offer of 20-50 M. Tempting, isn’t it?
This is where the vulnerability lies. And we know the integrity standards of most of our council members, generally “very flexible” when it comes to negotiations. Skilled at making pretexts and arguments. Well, this is a challenge forthe parties supporting candidates 01 and 03. Can they maintain solidarity?
For most council members, switching parties is common. Many of them don’t care about the party. It’s not about ideology or platform. The important thing is to enter Senayan and become a DPR member. Any party will do. Now, for DPR members like this, how can it be expected that they can resist Rp. 20-50 M and not approve the Right of Inquiry. It’s a heavy burden…
Will professors and lecturers, students from various universities, retired generals, activists, and civil society who guard this Right of Inquiry be able to give the spirit of struggle to the DPR factions which then paves the way for the Right of Inquiry to be realized?
