They believe Anies Baswedan is the most ideal candidate for the nation’s leader at this time. One honest confession. #kbanews
ONE night, at a businessman’s house in West Jakarta, we were involved in a chat. Casual but weighty.
There were important people there. There are members of the House (DPR), regional heads, businessmen, and even several generals. The number is less than 10 people
The chat adjusts the hot issue. Starting from the Golkar issue which is in the process of being put down by its chair, the labor demonstration on August 10, up to the 2024 presidential election.
Everyone was involved in the ciscourse, except for the generals. They were silent, only as loyal listeners. Consistent in maintaining professional ethics: not involved in practical politics. They didn’t say a single word. Occasionally they smiled, maybe just to appreciate the enthusiasm of the politicians who were currently arguing over data and arguments.
Those present at the rich merchant’s house were people from all walks of life. Some came from the party that carried Anies Baswedan. Some are from the Ganjar party. Some parties support Prabowo. Quite complete.
For reasons of discipline, those who took part in the chat that night showed their loyalty. Steadfast in supporting his party’s decision. The sense of optimism for each can be seen that the presidential candidate promoted by their party will win. Each spoke with survey data, arguments, and analysis. Interesting evening discussion and getting more and more exciting.
Far from emotional. All present rational arguments. Understandably, they are senior politicians. It’s very ripe. The average age is above 50 years. Some are over 60 years old. Seasoned politicians.
As the night progressed, the political chatter at the dinner table became more and more exciting. A sip of coffee and several types of market snacks had given me the energy to continue the conversation. The theme was interesting because it was about the future of the nation.
The moon of cigarette smoke adds to the political imagination which increasingly fascinated the interlocutor. It can be seen that Anies Basweadan’s supporters remain consistent with their data and analysis beliefs. That 2024, Anies Baswedan will be the president. Likewise supporters of Ganjar and Prabowo.
Even though they are having a great debate about who will win the 2024 presidential election, they agree on one opinion: “Only Anies Baswedan can bring a better future for this nation”.
In this case, they are one voice. They are of one mind. They said one word: Anies is the most capable and deserving. That was expressed by each person involved in the chat that night. Be honest and objective. An acknowledgment of a clear heart and independent mind.
Anies Baswedan’s track record, integrity, and capacity are acknowledged. Anies Baswedan is the most worthy to lead this country forward. Anies Baswedan is the most well-versed about various national issues, and the most prepared with his ideas and plans to make this country a better future.
One honesty they have revealed. Although we have very often heard this phrase from many scholars, activists, and politicians. For reasons of closeness, loyalty to the party, and other reasons, they did not support Anies.
That is ‘the dilemma’ that we often hear from many figures and politicians. They believe Anies Baswedan is the most ideal candidate for the nation’s leader at this time.
One honest confession. But unfortunately, they lose their right to independence because they are bound by a contract with the opposing party or presidential candidate.
