“From that point of view, Anies seems to have succeeded in handling flooding in Jakarta, including minimizing its duration,” he said.

“So, if Anies is criticized for the flood, then the critics may not want to see the reality. Their criticism is based on their dislike, not on Anies’ work in dealing with floods,” he explained.
Furthermore, Ritonga said it seems the critics generally like floods that hit Jakarta so that they would have ammunition at hands to criticize Anies Baswedan.
“They seem happy if it rains all day and night to see Jakarta flooded. Even though the facts now are completely different from the past– the water recedes in less than 6 hours – but this facts can not stop their attacks against Anies,” said Ritonga.
For information, based on data from the Jakarta SDA Service, the longest inundation in the Matraman area lasted for 45 minutes. This means that the inundation that occurred at several points in the Jakarta area due to heavy rains did not last more than an hour.
