JAKARTA | KBA – Anies Baswedan – Muhaimin Iskandar (AMIN) are currently far ahead of their two competitors, Prabowo Subianto – Gibran Rakabuming Raka and Ganjar Pranowo – Mahfud MD in a poll conducted by Radio Elshinta on its X account, @RadioElshinta.
The presidential and vice-presidential pair, backed by the Change Coalition, secured 82 percent of 19,060 votes. Far above the other two pairs.
Prabowo-Gibran from the Indonesia Maju Coalition (KIM) only received 10 percent, while the pair sponsored by PDIP and PPP, Ganjar – Mahfud, only achieved 8 percent.
The poll by the national radio network, which broadcasts news 24 hours nonstop through its social media account, was held starting Tuesday night, November 14, 2023, after the KPU conducted the drawing of presidential and vice-presidential numbers.
From the draw, the Anies-Muhaimin pair received ballot number 1, Prabowo – Gibran ballot number 2, and Ganjar – Mahfud MD got ballot number 3. Coincidentally, these numbers correspond with the level of votes obtained in the poll on the radio with the tagline news and talks.
Netizens were vocal in commenting on the results of the poll. Generally, they gave positive assessments of AMIN’s victory.
The owner of the account @MasRahmad121, for example, mentioned Anies-Muhaimin as the leaders needed at the moment. Because they have proven to be trustworthy, intelligent, with clear vision and good track record.
“If you want a more just and prosperous Indonesia, then Anies is the most appropriate president,” he tweeted.
While many others voiced a one-round victory. “AMIN, one round,” tweeted the account @muldirun.
“AMIN one round,” echoed the account @AmboyRoha31938.
The Elshinta poll itself is still ongoing for the next two days. So, netizens who want to enliven this poll still have the opportunity to participate.
Meanwhile, ILC also stated that several previous polls show the dominance of AMIN, confirming the one-round victory prediction that informs the optimism of supporters of Anies Baswedan – Muhaimin Iskandar.
