SOLO | KBA – Presidential and vice-presidential candidates from the Change Coalition, Anies Baswedan-Muhaimin Iskandar (AMIN), are determined to save the nation and restore the morals of state governance.
This determination was expressed by Anies during the Open Dialogue of Muhammadiyah With National Leadership Candidates at the Edutorium of Muhammadiyah University of Surakarta, Central Java, on Wednesday, November 22, 2023.
“We are committed to restoring the morality of governance. All AMIN’s agendas are based on the value of Justice For All,” Anies said, met with the thunderous applause of thousands of attendees.
Furthermore, he is also striving to restore the state’s authority by maintaining the principles and ethics of state governance.
“We want to restore the state’s authority by maintaining the principles and ethics of governance,” said the presidential candidate number one.
This open dialogue is akin to a public test. There are five panelists from various disciplines ready to fire critical questions at AMIN, including Prof. Dr. Siti Zuhro, Prof. Dr. Sofyan Anif, Prof. Dr. Zuli Qadir, Prof. Dr. Aidul Fitri, and K.H. Saad Ibrahim.
Anies emphasized that he will restore justice in every step of state management. Therefore, justice must be restored, the government’s perspective must be changed.
“Change from a sectoral approach to a sectoral and regional approach. The focus on growth alone becomes a focus on growth, equity, and sustainability. Then, the top-down approach becomes a collaborative and mutual cooperation approach,” he said.
In the field of education, Anies aims to improve human quality through equitable access to quality and affordable education and health services, as well as alleviating poverty.
He will also nurture unity and tolerance through facilitating religious institutions, ensuring freedom of religion, and strengthening social piety.
“We will realize just, transparent, and protective laws through improving the quality of regulations and law enforcement officers,” he concluded. (kba)
